Go through options add controllers, set up wifi and choose Rom storage ( i usually use usb stick)Ĭhange config file for wireless controllers if need beĪdd roms to appropriate folders in storage device and scrap artworkĪfter that it's pretty much done. Turn on Pi, let recalbox boot and install Put SD card into RBPi, put Pi into case, add cables. Pretty much every time I build a unit it's basicallyĭownload Recalbox and unzip software onto SD card. I find my friends only care about playing games and only need limited options and customization with a simple interface. Like yourself I've built a few emulation boxes for friends and I've stuck with Recalbox as it's a simple process. I think the common thread is usually Recalbox is easier to setup but has less customization options where as Retropie is more fiddly but has more customization options.
